Not all insurance companies require authorization for Physical Therapy, but some do. The following are some helpful tips to help you understand the authorization process better.
BLUE CROSS HEALTH OPTIONS: Requires authorization prior to being seen by the referring physician. Will allow you 62 consecutive days for that diagnosis and after that they will not authorize anymore therapy for that body part unless you have surgery or go through a medical review board.
